One token was handed out to each person as they entered the voting booths. In the booth there was one bucket for each candidate and the voters would deposit their token for the candidate of their choice.
The officials handing out coins would make sure that each voter would have only one token to cast their vote.
The evening wore on for everyone and some were not able to keep up. Zoe Lombard, 2 1/2, sleeps on her mom's shoulder.
As the voters would leave the voting booth, an official would mark the back of hands to show that they had voted.
The evening also had a live band playing which brought some to the "dance floor". Here, Robert and Mary Schannach are dancing and enjoying the tunes.
